Managing Director of Paradise Foods steps down, Bakani re-appointed as Central Bank Governor, KPMG appoints a new Managing Partner, four new NASFUND executives.

People 02The Managing Director of Paradise Foods, David Peate, has stepped down after serving 45 years with the company. The Chief Financial Officer, Michael Shields, has been appointed interim CEO. He joined Paradise in September, 2016, after more than 20 years with Arnott’s Biscuits in Australia.

The government has re-appointed Loi Bakani as Bank of Papua New Guinea Governor for a second, seven-year term.

Accounting firm KPMG has appointed Zanie Theron as its new Managing Partner. Ms Theron has been in PNG since January 2006 and joined KPMG in July 2016. She is a chartered accountant specialising in external audit services.

NASFUND has announced the appointment of four new executives to its management team. They are Seema Das-Raju as Chief Risk and Compliance Officer, Vincent Lialu as Head of Human Capital, Charlie Gilichibi as Chief Officer, Member Services and Allan Sayers as Project Manager, Funds Management Transition.
