East New Britain Savings & Loan Society is seeking applications from qualified and experienced individuals to join its Board as an Independent Director.

East New Britain Savings & Loan Society is a Licensed Financial Institution providing savings & loan products to its members for financial empowerment, growth and improving quality of life. In line with the recent changes to the Savings & Loan legislation, the Society is seeking applications from qualified and experienced persons to join its Board as an Independent Director.

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

• Overseeing the Society’s operations including its controls and accountability system
• Providing Strategic direction for ENBSLS
• Appointing and assessing the General Manager
• Providing oversight to the Society policies and standards
• Ensuring that the Society has appropriate Board and Management succession plans

Interested applicants should possess competencies, qualifications and experience in the following areas of Banking and Finance, Audit & Risk Management, Legal, Information Technology, Insurance

Applicants must:

• Meet the Fit & Proper Requirements of BPNG
• Be a professional member of the PNG Institute of Directors
• Have a good understanding of the PNG economy
• Have minimum of 5 years’ experience on the Board
