CPA PNG is seeking to appoint a Branch Manager to be based in Lae, Morobe Province.
CPA PNG is the premier accountancy professional body in Papua New Guinea with a membership of over 4,300 and growing. CPA PNG provides a wide range of services to its members and is the guardian of many compliance issues vital to the business community. They are seeking to appoint a Branch Manager to be based in Lae, Morobe Province. Reporting to the Executive Director, the key responsibilities include the following:
- Clients (in person and virtual) are immediately attended to at all times.
- CPEs and Conference are organised and conducted for members in Lae.
- Exam Review sessions are conducted in Lae.
- Professional Examinations in Lae are well facilitated.
- Adequate logistical support is provided in the delivery of membership service at all times.
- All administrative and financial operations of the branch are reported to the National Office.
- CPA PNG is promoted in the province and the Momase Region.
- The community service drive is being implemented in the region
- Any assigned tasks consistent with the above are executed in a timely manner.
- Serve as the Secretary to the Branch Executive for all Branch Meetings.
Duties
- Liaise with the National Office and produce CPE materials for CPE sessions in Lae and the surrounding provinces within the region.
- Liaise with the National Office on conference related matters with input from stakeholders within the region.
- Conduct review classes for the professional examination candidates in Lae.
- Facilitate, supervise and forward all professional examinations to the National Office.
- Attend to all operational and financial matters and report to the National Office.
- Be secretary to all Committee and Branch Executive meetings and keep adequate documentation on such meetings.
Job requirements
Applicant must be a CPA qualified, or nearing completion of CPA. Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Commerce. Information Technology skills are also a necessary pre-requisite. This position requires a capable, energetic person who will maintain high ethical standards and promote the profession.
