Consort Express Lines Limited is the leading coastal shipping services provider in Papua New Guinea. The company is currently seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced person for the position of Chief Accountant within their Finance Department based in Lae. This role reports to the Finance and Admin Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in Consort’s end of year process and production of Annual Financial Statements in line with Steamships Reporting deadlines
• Perform monthly financial analysis and reporting to Management as required
• Handle accounting enquiries in a timely manner.
• Provide Supervision and guidance to other Accountants within the Finance division

Job requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• CPA PNG Qualified
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Possess advance Computer skills in Excel spreadsheet/reporting
• Drive to continually improve processes and seek new challenges
