The Civil Aviation Safety Authority Board is seeking a highly qualified and experienced executive to provide strong and effective leadership to the organization setting a clear vision and strategic focus, articulating a clear direction, sustaining productive relationship between CASA and stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- The CEO and Director is responsible to the Chairman for the day-today management of all CASA activities including financial accountability, operational performance and relationship management of the organization.
- In addition to a wide range of more technical responsibilities conferred on the position both directly under legislation and by delegation from the Authority and Minister.
- The Director of Civil Aviation is assigned statutory functions under the Act includes overall responsibility and authority for exercising control over entry and exit into and from the civil aviation system through the granting and revocation of aviation documents and taking appropriate enforcement action in the public.
Qualifications & skills
- Must possess a Masters Degree in Executive Business or Strategic management or relevant aviation and management field or preferably Degree in Law, Accounting or Economics from a recognised university with postgraduate management training to the technical requirements of the position equivalent.
- Minimum of Five years’ experience at Senior Executive Management level
- Have held Senior Managerial positions with similar Government Statutory Authority, Department or other Corporate organisations at levels not lower than Deputy Secretary or General Manager
