Media Niugini Limited trading as EMTV is seeking applications from a highly qualified individual to fill in the role of the Chief Executive Officer based in Port Moresby.

Responsibilities:

• Represent EMTV and present information at media committees, state agencies, regulatory boards, community seminars and business meetings, on communication matters affecting public and educational broadcasting. Advocates on behalf of EMTV to potential donors, program sponsors, and benefactors, by actively participating in strategic funding initiatives pursuing contracts and grants from various agencies.
• Negotiate and secure competitive broadcast license rights for high viewership sports and entertainment content, and drive the production of compelling in-house local programs to grow viewership and exceed revenue targets.
• Maintain and improve EMTV National News content to high international delivery methods and standards whilst aligning with journalism principles and ethics.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Film and Television, or Bachelor of Communication and Media, or Bachelor of Business Management/Commerce. Additionally, a Master of Business Administration will be advantageous.
• 10 years’ experience in operational and commercial management roles, strong financial budget fiscal comprehension and management.
• 3 years’ experience in a General Manager or Chief Executive Officer Role with proven records of change and transformational success in fast paced environments.
