The Government is seeking a highly qualified and experienced executive to provide leadership and strategic policy directions to the Coffee Industry Corporation.

The Coffee Industry Corporation is responsible for all matters in relations to coffee growing processing, quality control and marketing in Papua New Guinea under the Coffee Industry Corporation (Statutory functions and Powers) Act 1991.

Key responsibilities

• The Chief Executive Officer is fully responsible and accountable to ensure that the research and extension programs are responsive to identified needs that it is effectively carried out within budgets and that station management is carried out so that they facilitate the research and extension operations to achieve the aims and objectives of CIC.

Qualifications & skills

• Master’s or PhD in Economics, Agriculture or its equivalent from a recognized university with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the executive management level position.
• Experience in administering Acts of Parliament, trade agreements, participation in international negotiations, trade promotion, financial and human resource management, etc could be preferable.
• Must be well versed with the Government’s Ethics & Values Based Executive Management and Leadership Capability Framework and the Gender Equity & Social Inclusion Policy.
