The Judicial and Legal Service Commission is now seeking to recruit the following vacant position.

The Chief Magistrate is a Constitutional Office Holder who provides executive leadership to the Magisterial Services and is responsible for carrying out any directions and instructions of the Judicial and Legal Services Commission.

Suitable candidates in Papua New Guinea and other commonwealth countries are invited to submit your applications for the position of Chief Magistrate of Papua New Guinea which became vacant on 2nd February 2019.

Job requirements

• A Degree in Bachelor of Law from the University of Papua New Guinea or a recognized university from a commonwealth country
• Admission Certificate to practice as a Lawyer in the National and Supreme Courts of Papua New Guinea or Courts of other commonwealth countries
• A current practicing certificate as a Barrister/Lawyer in the National and Supreme Courts of Papua New Guinea or other commonwealth countries
