Gabiga Coffee Limited requires the services of a qualified and experienced Coffee Factory Manager to lead their team.

Gabiga Coffee Limited (GCL) is a subsidiary of Gabiga Group of Companies, a 100 per cent nationally owned company which incorporates Gabiga Highlands Food Supplies, Gabiga Investments and Transportation and Gabiga Coffee, and offers a comprehensive range of services dedicated to providing its clients with quality service to meet their business and personal needs. Its operations and businesses are located in Eastern Highlands Province and Lae, Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea.

Gabiga Coffee Limited (GCL) started in 2008 after buying a Green Bean Coffee Processing Plant in Kainantu District, Eastern Highlands Province. It started processing Green Bean and Selling to Local Exporters until 2010 when Gabiga Coffee Limited was granted an Export License by Coffee Industry Corporation of Papua New Guinea. Within the span of nine (9) years, Gabiga Coffee Limited has become very successful, shipping more than 200 Containers per annum. The Company is gradually building up its capacities. Currently GCL have constructed two (2) new factory Buildings in Lae, Purchased 75 hectares Coffee Plantation in Goroka and a Wet Factory construction in progress now at Goroka which is scheduled to be completed by early 2020.

With the latest investments in their facilities and products to meet their ever-growing demands, their coffee factory division requires the services of a qualified and experienced Coffee Factory Manager to manage and lead their team in this division.

Roles and responsibilities

The Coffee Factory Manager will report directly to the General Manager and is responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Plan and manage the production of our products to meet deadlines.
  • Lead, train and manage existing and new employees.
  • Ensure that the factory is in optimum operating conditions at all times.

Job requirements

The ideal candidate must at a minimum satisfy the following criteria:

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications, degree in Business Management and or food technology is advantageous but not compulsory.
  • More than 5 years’ experience in food manufacturing and managerial position.
  • Experiences/qualifications in coffee production/manufacturing is an advantage.
