The Papua New Guinea Business Coalition for Women (BCFW) is a registered membership organization established in 2014 to drive business growth and women’s economic empowerment in PNG. They support member businesses to better recruit, retain and promote women and to enable full participation of women in the private sector as leaders, employees and employers.

To support businesses to make significant and measurable progress, BCFW focuses on:

1. Pro-actively address family and sexual violence, particularly as it impacts productivity in the workplace;
2. Develop women’s leadership across PNG’s private sector;
3. Create, share and promote gender-smart workplace policies; and
4. Create more opportunities for women-owned businesses in Supply Chain

The Papua New Guinea Business Coalition for Women is seeking a suitably qualified candidate to join its growing team and fill the above position vacancy.

The Consultant will work closely with the BCFW Executive Officer to review the current policies and training that BCFW supports companies to implement; this includes reviewing BCFW’s monitoring and evaluation and how BCFW can best capture the benefits to PNG businesses. Through the review, the consultant will identify recommendations and will work with BCFW and member companies to develop policies and training for the PNG private sector.

Job Requirements

To be successful in this role you should possess:

• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a relevant professional role in the not-for-profit, corporate or Government sector with demonstrated results
• Tertiary qualifications in management, business, law, social sciences, development studies, politics, education or relevant to the technical content of this position are required
• Demonstrated understanding of and experience in policy development
• Demonstrated experience in developing training material
