Consort Express Lines Limited is seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced Crew Manager to join their team based in Lae.

Consort Express Lines Limited is the leading coastal shipping service provider in Papua New Guinea.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with DPA with regards to the appointment of all seagoing staff to the vessels to meet operational requirements.
• Ensure that the vessel is manned in accordance with National and STCW 95 (as amended) International Rules and Regulations.
• Maintaining records of all seagoing staff with details of their qualifications and training certificates.
• Oversee all company approved training courses for seagoing staff.
• Check and approve timesheets for crew working hours to ensure compliance with STCW Hours of Rest, and investigate any anomalies before payment is made.
• Oversee and ensure all manpower requirements of Company vessels are met on a timely basis at all times.
• Oversee relief arrangements for officers and signing off crews.

Job requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or related field of studies
• Sound background knowledge in crewing and human resource policies and procedures.
• Familiarity with Crewing operational practice.
• Process Strong analytical skills.
• Self-discipline and commitment to the job.
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience in similar roles.
