The FHI360 is looking for a data base manager to join its team.

The FHI360 currently has the following immediate vacancy: Data Base Manager

Reporting to the Deputy Country Director/Monitoring and Evaluation Lead .The Data Base Manager , will serve as a technical expert for the FHI360 HIV/AIDS and TB activities. The Data base manager will develop data collection architecture and relational management system across FHI360 and PNG reporting systems and indicators. Develop and implement procedures for effective data collection, management, access and analyses. And to ensure generation and access to robust program analytic datasets for interpretation and response.

The Data Manager will investigate, create and develops new data management methods and technologies for project advancement and optimization. He/she will provide technical guidance on information systems for quality improvement, as well as best practices in documentation and reporting. This may include systems administration, trouble shooting, analysis, testing, and research. Training, general problem solving, technical support, and testing/deployment of new systems and database. Designing and implementing back up, recovery, archiving, conversion strategies and performance tuning. Define and develop database standards, policies and procedures.

Key roles and responsibilities

• • Analyse program data management requirements and define system specifications
  • Maintain/build relational database schemas, tables, views, data dictionaries and stored procedures as required by various HIV/AIDS and TB program areas
  • Apply data modelling techniques to ensure development and implementation support effects meet program performance monitoring and evaluation expectations

Job requirements

Successful applicant should possess the following skills and attributes

• A bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field
• At least three years of relevant work experience in database design and management. Relational Data base management experience in past .
• Ability to write SQL queries and validate query results
