Certified Practising Accountants PNG is seeking to appoint a Director Academic.

Certified Practising Accountants Papua New Guinea (CPA PNG) is the premier accounting professional body in the country with a membership of 6,970 and growing. CPA PNG was formed in 1974 and later became operative under Accountants Act (2003 As Amended).

CPA PNG provides a wide range of services to its members and is the guardian of many compliance issues vital to the business community and the public sector. They are seeking to appoint a Director Academic.

The Director Academic is primarily responsible for the development and administration of the professional examinations process of CPA PNG to ensure that the members are adequately equipped with the skills and knowledge to fittingly deliver to the stakeholders in their respective mandates.

Key responsibilities

• The oversight of the professional examination,
• Manage review and evaluation of modules
• Manage review and evaluation of examination test bank items,

Applicants must be CPAs, hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Commerce and preferably hold a Masters qualification. Information Technology skills are also a necessary prerequisite.

This position requires a capable, energetic person who will maintain high ethical standards and impeccable credentials.
