The National Fisheries Authority (NFA) is inviting exceptional candidates to apply for the Executive Manager – Strategic Planning, Economics & International Fisheries (SPEI) position based in Port Moresby.

Responsibilities

The Executive Manager, Strategic Planning, Economic Research and International Fisheries (EM-SPEI) is responsible to the Managing Director, through the Deputy Managing Directors.

Requirements

• Degree in either strategic management, or public policy or relevant discipline with strong strategic management or policy and planning content with a post graduate degree in either area
• Minimum of 5 years of experience at a senior level in fisheries administration, with at least 3 years work in developing and applying strategic management tools in the provision of policy advice in a fisheries or resource management context
• Extensive knowledge of the political economy of fisheries sector in PNG and understanding of NFA mandates
