PNGJobSeek’s client wants to hire an experienced Field Operator Manager.

The successful candidate will reporting to Manager-RAN Head-Technical and will be responsible for the Managing of all field support operations and maintenance teams for the Radio Access Network division. The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing all field faults restoration related to power systems for RAN sites, support RAN sites preventative Maintenance tasks and oversee all Electrical Generators Maintenance schedules (both AC, DC and Green power solutions).

Job requirements

Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognised Engineering institution in PNG or Overseas with extensive experience working in a Telco environment. Experience with working for a commercial or industrial power systems in a similar role is desired for this role.

Experience

Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a Management or a Team leader role in a similar environment for telco electrical power systems is an advantage.

Skills

• Excellent written and concise communication skills and able to communicate well with immediate supervisors and other internal and external stakeholders
• An in-depth hands on understanding of Telecommunications -48V DC power systems, AC Generator power systems, ATS systems, DC Generators and Solar power systems
• In-depth hands-on experience of Genset controllers (e.g.: Deep Sea Controllers), SCADA systems technologies, Inverters, Power Controllers and the like
