The Burnet Institute seeks a finance manager to be responsible for institute’s overall financial function in Papua New Guinea.

The Burnet Institute is an internationally recognised and duly registered medical research and public health agency. The NGO operation combines research activities with practical action through the design and implementation of public health and development programs. The Institute has headquarters in Melbourne and several international offices, including Port Moresby and Kokopo in PNG.

Job requirements

The successful candidate would be reporting to the Burnet Institute General Operations Manager and will be responsible for the overall Financial Function of the Burnet Institute Office in PNG.

To be successful in this role you must meet the following essential skills and experience criteria:

• 5+ years in a Finance/Accountant position, with at least 2-3 years’ experience in a senior position.
• Degree in Accounting and a CPA registered member
• Experience in donor funded organisation or projects
