Nambawan Super, PNG’s leading Superannuation Fund, is seeking a suitable candidate to lead and manage the Strategic Relations business unit to deliver its strategic objectives, to positions its products and services to employers and their employees, and grow market share beyond the traditional member base. To be part of its executive management team, NSL is seeking to recruit a: General Manager Strategic Relations

Primary objective

This position is part of NSL’s executive management team, which is responsible for leading NSL’s business and driving strategic direction of the Fund.

The strategic aim of this position is to improve retention of members, their awareness of NSL’s products and services and to grow market share in alignment with NSL’s strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Contributing to NSL’s strategy and leading key strategic initiatives where required
• Presenting to the NSL Board, Stakeholders, Staff, Committee and clients where required
• Leading and championing the employer and member customer service delivery and member experience through identifying new products, service and distribution channel opportunities to retain member and grow NSL market share in existing and new channels, which are profitable to operate in

Job requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

• Tertiary qualification with 7 years working experience in a similar environment
• Must possess sound knowledge and/or understanding of the superannuation market, new business and product development, product distribution and operations management
• Senior level leadership and people management skills to develop and implement strategy and lead a team
