Media Niugini Limited – EMTV is seeking a suitable and qualified candidate to fill in the position of Head of Sales & Marketing. Reporting directly to the CEO, this position will join the Department Management team and Head the Sales and Marketing Department of EMTV

Job summary

The Head of Sales performs the sales and marketing function to establish and develop customer and client relationships to bring revenue into the organization. This position supports Sales Executives to achieve overall group sales and marketing targets/budgets. He/she manages the overall sales and marketing team, plans revenue initiatives within the MNL business, prepares budgets and tracks progress of revenue.

He/she is also required to perform/assist in any other relevant task commensurate with the level of the role and as requested by the CEO.

Responsibilities

• Gain a clear understanding of customer’s/clients business’s and sales and marketing requirements
• Write proposals and agreements for customers/clients for advertising and sponsorship
• Actively stay abreast of progress and direction in advertising and seeking new clients to ensure capitalising and lead on development
• Maintain relationships with existing customers/client and bring in repeat business
• Manage deliverables for customers/clients and execute as per sponsorship agreements
• Meet or aim to exceed set monthly revenue targets/budgets
• Strategise budgets/targets if they aren’t met within the month, through aggressive sales and innovative initiatives
• Attend meetings with Sales Executives when required and provide guidance on customer or client/customer approach and deliverables
• Lead, motivate and manage the work programmes of relevant staff to ensure optimum productivity, personal development and impact on revenue
• Lead on implementation, reporting and reviewing of the strategic and operational sales and marketing plans to drive sales and revenue
• Liaise with other Departments of EMTV to meet customer deliverables or generate revenue for the company
• Manage and deliver the relevant budgets and produce financial reports
• To provide the strategic framework for Sales and Marketing, encompassing branding, positioning & value in the market

Experience

• BA in Sales & Marketing Administration
• Experience with creating a culture of engagement, collaboration and teamwork
• Over 10 years of work experience in the Sales Industry, preferably in the media industry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge of graphics software, creating artwork and print design for television and print

• Comply with EMTV HR Policy, Code of Conduct and work office processes
• Be able to communicate to CEO and Management team on updates and progress of the Sales and Marketing team
• Working closely with other key departments to ensure other opportunities are provided to the overall Sales & Marketing Team
• Lead on building internal and external relationships to fulfil the organization vision of being the ‘go-to’ organization within the sector including sponsors, suppliers, commercial and third-sector partners
