Pacific Towing is welcoming applications from exceptional candidates for the role of HSSEQ Manager.

Pacific Towing (PacTow) is the marine services market leader in PNG and broader Melanesia.

Headquartered at Motukea in Port Moresby, we have other operations in Lae, Madang, Kimbe and Rabaul, and provide our services internationally. We have a fleet of 22 vessels and over 200 staff.

PacTow is now recruiting for a HSSEQ Manager, an important position within the company’s senior leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation, co-ordination, maintenance and continuous improvement of PacTow’s Safety Management System and all activities relating to the company’s workplace Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality programmes. The HSSEQ Manager is also responsible for the management of the company’s COVID-19 plan. Additionally, the position includes appointment as the Designated Person Ashore (DPA).

Only applicants who have had at least one COVID-19 vaccination will be considered for this position.

Qualifications/Experience

• Have formal training to at least ISM or ISO 9000 Internal Auditor standard and/or DPA Training
• Experience in a similar role or safety supervision in maritime logistics
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Sound report writing skills
• Well-developed computer and IT skills with sound knowledge in MS applications and electronic data transfer
