Our client wants to hire a Human Resource Manager to help make a difference in the workplace.
Do you have a genuine desire to work with people and make a difference in your workplace?The successful candidate will join their dynamic Management team, taking the lead in coordinating all human resources functions for the organisation including staff training and work place health safety for the staff of the Port Moresby Nature Park.
Duties & responsibilities
Reporting to the Nature Park General Manager, this position is responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Provides strategic and operational HR support to the management and staff in all areas of human resource management, employee relations, safety and training.
- Coordinates all day to day HR activities including recruitment and selection, induction and training, HR administration, performance management, HR metrics and reporting, timekeeping, leave management and assists the payroll officer where required
- Develops and implements new HR policies and procedures as well as undertaking detailed reviews of existing policies and procedures.
Job requirements
Experience and qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Human Resource Management (essential)
- First Aid and/or other safety related training (desirable)
- Minimum 3 years working in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of PNG Employment Legislation
Skills required for the position
- Effective HR administration and people management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to negotiate and manage difficult conversations effectively
