Air Niugini Savings and Loans Society is welcoming applications from experienced candidates for the role of Independent Board Director.

Air Niugini Savings and Loans Society Ltd is a licensed financial institution under the Savings & Loans Act (amended) 1995, affiliated to the Federation of Savings & Loan Societies (Fesalos) and providing financial services to its members throughout Papua New Guinea.

In order to enhance its Corporate Governance structure, the Society would like to invite qualified and experienced professionals with impressive track records in the fields of Banking & Finance, Business Management, Audit, Risk & Compliance and/or Legal Independent Directors.

The Director will be expected to:

• Actively participate in established Sub-Committees, Board & Special Meetings and deliberations as any other Director.
• Provide sound technical, financial, and other independent expertise to the Board.
• Share the benefit of their experience and business knowledge to any decision making by the

• Candidates must have at least five (5) years experience as a Director on a Board of a reputable organization either locally or internationally.
• Must possess an unblemished character and impeccable track record in their respective fields and disciplines.
• The Independent Director must have no material relationship or membership to the Society beyond his or her directorship.
