Air Energy Pacific Ltd trading as Airswift PNG’s client is a major agricultural exporter. Expressions of Interest (EOIs) are now being sought from suitably qualified and experienced people for the following opportunity in their client’s Papua New Guinea operations;

Internal Audit Manager (Ref: 1096433)

Responsible for ensuring internal audit requirements are fulfilled in accordance with Internal Audit procedures and external legislation/ regulatory policies.

Job description

• Ensuring that proper controls and systems as envisaged by the General Manager are in operation and ensure adherence to these financial and management policies;
• Suggest modifications to the systems and controls in the light of real-life circumstances;
• To initiate and conduct enquiries, investigations and special assignments as directed from time to time by the General Manager and Financial Controller;
• Ensure compliance with various statutes and regulations;
• Audit of divisional performance to confirm to estimates approved by board of directors;
• Check the progress of the company in relation to its long-range plans and divisional budgets to provide interim information especially about variances and deviations;
• To examine and evaluate the adequacy of internal controls;
• To provide an independent appraisal of each area being audited and to furnish audit reports with recommendations concerning the activities been audited;

Job requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Business/Commerce/Accounting; preferably Accounting;
• Minimum 2 to 3 years’ experience in a similar role at a similar level of management;
• The candidate must be a CPAPNG Member;
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Must be computer literate; \
• Ability to priorities and complete tasks efficiently.
