The National Fisheries Authority (NFA) invites applications from highly motivated individuals for the position of Internal Audit Manager.

NFA is established under its own enabling legislation. It has a regulatory oversight over the Fisheries Sector on behalf of the government of Papua New Guinea. NFA has international responsibilities in promoting and representing PNG’s fisheries interest. NFA also manages international treaties (bilateral & multilateral) on behalf of the government with other third parties where required. Through internal reforms NFA would like to continue to be leader in the fisheries sector in the Pacific promoting sustainable and equitable fisheries development programs.

The positions are based in Port Moresby: Internal Audit Manager

This role reports to the Board Audit Committee functionally and administratively reports to the Managing Director or his delegate. The Internal Audit Manager is responsible for the Authority’s Internal Audit function and will also be responsible for corporate compliance audit, corporate risk management, financial audit and special investigations. The Audit Manager will provide Secretariat support to the Internal Audit Committee of NFA and will coordinate all Auditor General’s Audit (AGO) annual activities within the NFA.

Job requirements

• Must have financial management experience
• Familiar with the Public Finance Management Act with at least 10 years’ experience
