Omni Limited has a vacancy for an IT Development Manager.

Collaborate with the design and development disciplines primarily acting as the bridge between design intent and implementation. Bring project concepts to life as quickly and tangibly as possible, regardless of the ultimate delivery medium but with an early understanding of industry trends and tools, technical feasibility and implications. Demonstrate the value of prototyping as an integral and regular step in the design process of conceptualising, refining and finalising an inventive solution, service or product.

While most people have no idea what you do or how you do it, you know exactly what it takes to collaborate, ideate and provide technical guidance to help take a project from concept through to deployment. Their teams will rely heavily on your skills and expertise as you translate the creative vision into technical implementations and integrate with back end technologies.

Your role will report directly to the Operations and General Manager of Omni Limited.

Role description

While there will never be a ‘typical day’ at Omni Limited, we’ve highlighted a few of your exciting responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership on enterprise scale front and back-end web application projects while concurrently overseeing other development teams on several projects across different offices and geographies;
• Apply strong business and client facing abilities to support business development opportunities and build long-term relationships in addition to manage project delivery;

Job requirements

• 5+ years of experience working at a design, development, consulting agency, web start-up or equivalent education/professional experience in IT project management; and
• A valid Papua New Guinean drivers licence.

Skills

• Strong attention to detail and understanding of design concepts to provide leadership perspective on front and back-end technologies and the overall impact of the creative process;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills;
