NASFUND Contributors Savings and Loans Society Ltd is looking for a highly qualified individual to join its team as Loan Recovery Officer.

Based at our Head Office, Port Moresby, the Loan Recovery Officer reports to the Manager Legal & Recoveries with NCSL. The successful applicant must have minimum five (5) years’ experience in monitoring and controlling delinquent loan portfolios that are past due, and ensuring loan delinquency management policies and procedures are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

The successful applicant will be required to effectively

• Monitor loan portfolio on a regular basis and develop processes and measures to control and minimize loan delinquencies and pursue recovery action as required,
• Ensure loans that fall into arrears are kept to an absolute minimum at all times,
• Minimize the need for loan provisioning and ensure monthly loan provision charges are well within approved budget levels,
• Ensure all incoming funds for delinquent loan accounts are applied without fail in a timely manner,
• Undertake account maintenance & debt collection duties as required,
• Identify appropriate recovery action on all delinquent loan accounts and take appropriate action for timely recovery of funds owed,
• Monitor and maintain loan write-offs to an absolute minimum and within approved budget levels,
• Ensure members with arrears are loaded onto Credit Data Bureau and reports provided on a weekly basis.

Job requirements

• Proven experience in managing delinquent loans,
• Demonstrated exposure in preventing loan arrears,
• Possess more than five (5) years of proven exposure in managing loan delinquencies and ensuring appropriate recovery action is taken where required,
• Strong customer experience and ability to interact and cooperate with all staff and maintain professionalism that meets company core values.
