Manager Electronic Banking


NCSL is seeking applications from suitably qualified persons for the role of Manager Electronic Banking.

NCSL, PNG’s largest and progressive Savings and Loan Society offers its members a smarter and easier alternative to banks and other deposit taking institutions. The Society is seeking applications from suitably qualified persons for the role of Manager Electronic Banking. Based at its Head Office, Port Moresby, this position reports directly to the General Manager. The successful applicant must have minimum seven (7) years’ experience in leading and managing a team to ensure all electronic banking initiatives are implemented within the business, and ensure all merchant relationships are established, maintained and deepened to the mutual benefit of the parties involved.

The successful applicant will be required to effectively

  • Lead the e-Banking team in managing all electronic banking initiatives and ensuring these are successfully rolled out,
  • Seek information on global trends on e-Banking and proactively raise ideas and cost-effective initiatives for consideration and implementation to maintain market leadership and competitive edge,
  • Manage and ensure full compliance with all requirements including necessary data entry in banking system to facilitate account opening, closure and maintenance activities within the agreed SLA,
  • Maintain a sound working relationship with all stakeholders associated with NCSL’s electronic banking offering,
  • Manage and ensure all merchant queries and/or disputes are addressed in a timely manner and regularly reported to the General Manager as required,
  • Ensure merchant account statements are current and proactively provide solutions to meet the merchant requirements,
  • Monitor and ensure all necessary reports are reviewed and actioned as required with dashboard reporting provided to the Management and Board,
  • Ensure full compliance with all policies, procedures, regulatory and any other standards,
  • Undertake other duties as directed by the General Manager.

Essential qualifications, technical skills & experience

  • Proven exposure in managing an E- Banking team involved with issuing cards and pin mailers, and other electronic banking products,
  • Proven exposure in managing a team to engage with merchants and other stakeholders involved in electronic banking, and providing the necessary maintenance support and addressing queries in a timely manner when required,
  • Possess more than seven (7) years of managing customer card and pin issuance and other maintenance activities,
  • Bachelor Qualification in Banking & Finance, Business Management or related field with some knowledge in IT,
  • Strong customer experience and ability to interact and cooperate with all staff and maintain professionalism that meets company core values,
  • A current class three (3) and above driver’s license is preferred.
