Bank of Papua New Guinea is now seeking to recruit a suitable candidate for the position of Manager, Financial Sector Development Strategy (FSDS) Secretariat.
The Financial Sector Development Strategy (FSDS) 2018-2030 was approved by the NEC in August 2018 and officially launched in January 2019 by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Treasury Hon. Charles Abel, MP. The Bank of PNG has been appointed by the Government as the Executing Agency for the implementation of the FSDS.
Bank of PNG is now seeking to recruit a suitable candidate for the position of Manager, FSDS Secretariat to oversee the operations of the Secretariat and monitor and report on the various projects being implemented under the FSDS.
Key accountabilities
- Project Management– Competently manage all aspects of the approved FSDS Projects including project planning, programming, resourcing, monitoring and evaluation. This will entail developing and maintaining a project register to monitor and report progress on the plan to the FSDS Steering Committee.
- Secretariat Functions– Ensure the FSDS Steering Committee functions effectively through timely convening of meetings, taking minutes, reporting progress and following up on actions and decisions between meetings. Prepare interim, mid-term, and annual reports for the FCC Committee and FSDS Steering Committee.
Job requirements

- Must hold a degree in Business, Economics, Finance with additional qualifications in project management.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Have sound industry knowledge and exposure to financial sector policies, laws, regulations and financial systems and structures.
- Demonstrate experiences in stakeholder engagements and coordination.
