The Bank of Papua New Guinea is a Contemporary Central Bank and Regulator employing best practice in the development and implementation of Monetary Policy, conduct of Financial Sector Supervision and in ensuring an efficient, safe and well-functioning Payments System.

The Bank of Papua New Guinea invites expression of interest from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to fill the following position within the Financial Analysis and Supervision Unit (FASU):-

MANAGER – POLICY DEVELOPMENT & COORDINATION DIVISION 

The incumbent will report directly to the Director, Financial Analysis and Supervision Unit and will be responsible to;

Ensure FASU meets all of its statutory responsibilities effectively and efficiently;

• Promote PNG’s compliance with international AML/CTF standards and obligations;
• Establishes and maintains appropriate legal, administrative and security protocols;
• Ensures at all times, protection and non-disclosure of FASU’s classified and confidential information;
• Aligns AML/CTF laws with national priority objectives;

Job Requirements

• Masters or Bachelor’s Degree in Law / Banking / Finance, Accounting, Business, or related fields;
• Have seven plus years’ experience in the finance / banking / superannuation or life insurance, general insurance and securities industry at a management level or legal and policy development;
• Working knowledge of the banking, finance and savings and loans, superannuation and insurance industries and the relevant Acts and prudential standards and other related legislation.
