Business Advantage International is looking for an organised, polished and energetic marketing and events all-rounder with excellent copywriting skills. Experience with events is essential and while B2B marketing experience would be an advantage.

About us

We are an established fast-growing, boutique media and events company, based in state-of-the-art offices in Melbourne’s CBD.

Our company’s activities are varied and expanding, ranging from print and electronic publications to running conferences and events. While we’re based in Melbourne, our focus is mainly on the Pacific Islands region.

About the role

The role is initially offered full-time but we would consider reduced hours for an outstanding candidate.

Activities would include:

  • Working closely with the company’s directors to devise and execute marketing and event plans
  • Promote and market our conferences and events
  • Work as part of our Events team to deliver the events themsleves, including event logistics
  • Take responsiblity for the promotion, marketing and distribution of our publications
  • Acting as a guardian for our corporate brand
  • Managing our own print and electronic advertising
  • Managing and enhancing our corporate website and other collateral

Skills and experience

  • A proven track record in marketing and/or communications
  • At least two years experience in event marketing and/or event management
  • Ability to handle and manage priorities
  • A positive can-do attitude
  • The ability to work with a degree of autonomy
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • A commitment to quality outcomes
  • Understanding of the professional services industry or B2B environment would be advantageous
