National Sales Manager


PacTrade (PNG) Limited, an established FMCG distributor is looking to recruit a dynamic, resourceful and performance oriented National Sales Manager.

PacTrade (PNG) Limited is an established FMCG distributor of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and a Subsidiary of CJ Patel Group of Companies in Fiji. PacTrade is represented in PNG with its Head Office in Port Moresby and a branch in Lae, Morobe Province. We are seeking to recruit a dynamic, resourceful and performance-oriented National Sales Manager to be based Papua New Guinea.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities

The incumbent will be responsible for sales strategy and execution, driving profitable growth and business development.

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies
  • Lead nationwide sales and marketing team members to achieve sales targets
  • Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts
  • Negotiate and close agreements with large customers
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts
  • Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities
  • Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with clients’ needs
  • Liaise with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency
  • Stay up-to-date with new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board

Experience and Attributes

  • Proven work experience of at least 10 years as a Sales Manager or similar leadership role within FMCG sector
  • Tertiary qualification in Sales, Business Administration or relevant field
  • Experience managing a high-performance sales team
  • An ability to understand and analyze sales performance metrics
  • Solid customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills
  • Strong communication and team management skills
  • Analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude
  • Availability to travel as needed
