International SOS is seeking a nurse manager to join its team at Lihir Medical Centre.

Job Title: Nurse Manager
Location: Lihir Medical Centre, New Ireland Province
Roster:  3 weeks on site / 3 weeks off site
Reporting Lines: Chief Medical Officer – Lihir Medical Centre (Functionally)
Health Services Manager – Lihir Medical Centre (Administratively)

Job description

• Determining staffing levels, in close consultation with the Chief Medical Officer and the Health Services Manager
• Maintain the Nursing Roster
• Responsible for ensuring Nursing Standards, as set by International SOS, are maintained;
• Maintain procedure manual and update where and when necessary;
• Drafting Nursing policies and procedures;

Job requierements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing;
• A Diploma / Degree in Health Management;
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Supervisory role;
• Appropriately licensed, qualified and registered to practice with the Papua New Guinea Nursing Council or other relevant body legally to perform the duties required of a Registered Nurse;
• A thorough knowledge of Clinical Nursing, Nursing Administration and Nursing Education and training;
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a propensity for teamwork;
