Anitua Mining Services is now looking to hire an Operations Manager.

The Operations Manager is required to ensure the development and maintenance of a positive working relationship with clients with the goal of achieving complete customer satisfaction as well as the obligation to ensure the financial viability of the project through the implementation of effective management strategies.

This position also requires a commitment to the local Lihirian community to facilitate continuous improvement and knowledge transfer to ensure the long term sustainability of the company.

Reporting/Working relationships

Operations Superintendents/Client representatives, Training Superintendent, Safety Superintendent, Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Superintendents.

Key responsibilities

• Overseeing and being accountable for all aspects of the operations
• Provide leadership and direction to Managers/Superintendents/Coordinators and staff
• Liaise and build sound working relationships with the client’s relevant representatives
• Perform works accordance with the company/client contractual requirements

Skills and experience

• Minimum of 15 years’ experience in a mining or construction environment with 5-10 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
• Surveying skills and knowledge
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
