Oxfam is looking for a talented individual for the role of Partner Capacity Developer Officer.

Oxfam’s primary strategic objective within PNG is to support change that build more resilient, just and economically secure communities where women can lead, actively participate, and hold others accountable. Oxfam works within three program areas in PNG: Gender Justice, Sustainable Livelihoods, and Water, Hygiene and Sanitation. As a humanitarian organisations, Oxfam has a standing mandate to respond to disasters within PNG.

The Partner Capacity Development Officer will have the responsibility for the successful delivery of partnership strategy under the Gender Justice project. This role will focus primarily on designing and delivery of capacity development support to CSOs mainly on institutional capacity with coordinating the technical capacity strengthening and will l provide leadership, management and ongoing technical input in the delivery of the gender Justice Partnership strategy

Our ideal candidate will

• Lead on the implementation of the Gender Justice Partnership strategy including facilitating the development of the partnership using the good partnering toolkit, conducting partner capacity assessments, developing agreed partner capacity building plans, facilitate the implementation and monitoring of the capacity building plan
• Train, guide and support the partner organisations in institutional strengthening activities

Skill and experience

• Tertiary qualification in Development and Social Science or similar
• Demonstrated experience and expertise in developing/designing and implementing CSO capacity development programs with a significant focus on developing the institutional capacity of CSOs, particularly in areas such as governance, transparency, accountability, and financial management
