Paladin is seeking a suitable candidate for the Human Resource Department to play a role of Payroll Manager and must be a resident within Port Moresby.
Key responsibilities
- Maintains payroll information by designing systems; directing the collection, calculation, and entering of data.
- Updates payroll records by reviewing and approving changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job titles, and department/ division transfers.
- Pays employees by directing the production and issuance of pay checks or electronic transfers to bank accounts.
- Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages.
- Determines payroll liabilities by approving the calculation of employee annual leave, sick leave, long service leave, and workers compensation payments.
Job requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration with an emphasis in Accounting.
- 5+ years’ previous experience as an accountant, accounting supervisor, manager, or related position.
