Caritas Australia is inviting exceptional candidates to apply for the PNG Disaster Hub Manager role in Port Moresby.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating the development and review of emergency preparedness and response guidelines and tools for the CAN DO Church agencies in PNG
• Coordinating and mobilising technical support as required to ensure programs are technically sound and have a strong focus on strengthening gender, disability and child protection.
• Representing the church partners in AHP working group meetings, Disaster Management Team (DMT) and other relevant work groups.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in disaster risk management, humanitarian response or related discipline.
• At least 3 years’ experience in the international development or humanitarian field with civil society and church partners with a strong focus on disaster risk management.
• Experience coordinating complex multi-stakeholder arrangements spread across a range of geographic and socio-economic context.
