The Market for Village Farmers is seeking to recruit an experienced and result-oriented individual for the role of Production & Value Chain Manager.

The Market for Village Farmers – (MVF) is a Government of PNG project funded by the International Fund for Agriculture Development (IFAD) and the PNG Government and is implemented by Fresh Produce Development Agency (FPDA).

They are seeking to recruit experience and result oriented individuals who have the passion and drive to work in the field or agriculture.  This role reports to the Project Manager

Key responsibilities

• the incumbent will be required to travel to the project site for monitoring, reporting and coordination of the project activities working in collaboration with the FPDA and PMU team in overseeing, planning, managing,
• and monitoring the overall performance of the value chain system strategy and implementation of the MVF project on a daily basis in order to maximize efficiency and achieve its objective.

Qualifications & skills

• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Agri-business, Agricultural Science, or related field;
• Knowledgeable of cross-cutting issues of gender, youth, marginalized groups, discrimination and poverty targeting;
• Extensive knowledge of contemporary issues in production and value chain systems within the Agricultural and Food Industry
