Abt PNG Management Services is a shared management and technical services platform, implemented by Abt Associates, that supports an innovative suite of governance partnerships in Papua New Guinea. These partnerships contribute to the overarching Papua New Guinea – Australia Governance Partnership and aim to contribute to security, stability, basic service delivery and inclusive growth for all Papua New Guineans.

The Economic Governance and Inclusive Growth (EGIG) Partnership, which is part of the PNG Australia Governance Partnership, is a key delivery partner to the Governments of PNG and Australia to operationalise their shared strategic and economic priorities. EGIG Partnership works across three mutually supporting program areas that are jointly designed to contribute to the overarching outcomes of the partnership. These program areas include Macroeconomic Stability, Improved Fiscal Management and Inclusive Economic Growth.

The successful candidate will support the implementation of public financial management programming and be responsible for providing overarching program management support and coordination of activities and deliverables in this area.

Job requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in economics, accounting, finance, public policy, project management or relevant field
• Minimum 4 years’ experience coordinating and managing program activities in a large and complex cross-program environment (preferably in a development context)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated experience preparing high quality reports and professional documents for senior and executive audiences
