Your opportunity

As part of their exciting growth across PNG, our client are now searching for an experienced Project Engineer to take the lead on a multi-million dollar civil construction project. In this once-in-a-lifetime role, you would:

  • Take a lead in preparing the scope, planning, design and construction for project civil works;
  • Managing the creation, review and approval of all design work;
  • Evaluating relevant contractor tenders in line with project requirements;
  • Maintaining positive relationships with contractors and suppliers, practicing efficient contract administration, monitoring contractor performance and ensuring cost control;
  • Effectively managing end-to-end project works in line with established scope, timing and budget plans;

Key requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Civil/Mechanical Engineer in Oil & Gas
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) and formal training in HSE
  • Excellent communication skills – you are fluent in English, can negotiate well, and are an effective intercultural communicator
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities
  • Leadership abilities – you can effectively lead a site and manage all internal staff, contractor and vendor relationships
  • PNG Citizenship
