Business for Development is seeking a performance-oriented and dynamic individual for the role of Project Lead – Agri Business.

The role

Reporting to the Director Asia Pacific, the Project Lead will be responsible for leading the design, implementation and ongoing support of projects – from identifying commercial opportunities, developing a business case, securing financial support to successfully launch and establishing each phase of the project including on-site support.

The Project Lead will implement projects that build long term, sustainable outcomes for our beneficiaries in Papua New Guinea. Key aspects include project management and implementation, framing of key approaches, and high-quality client delivery and written output.

About you

• Performance orientated, optimistic and dynamic individual who derives satisfaction from seeing issues and challenges as opportunities.
• Approachable with a genuine interest in people.
• Skilled and experienced hands on project lead – with a demonstrated history of accomplishment in implementing business related projects in Papua New Guinea or other developing countries.
• Exceptional problem-solving and creative thinking skills;
• Well-developed communication and negotiation skills;
• A willingness to travel into remote operating environments with limited infrastructure
• Degree in Business, Agriculture, Supply Chain Management, International Development or relevant fields
• Proven ability to establish and nurture relationships with managers and employees of an organisation as well as a wide range of external stakeholders and service providers.
• Demonstrated capacity to lead and motivate people and teams
