Marie Stopes International, global pioneers in Contraceptive and Sexual Reproductive Health Services, delivers its services in PNG through Marie Stopes PNG (MSPNG). We are a dynamic organization with a team of over 100 staff based in 17 provinces serving our clients through clinics and outreach teams, and strengthening the capacity of government health providers. They are well established and recognized in PNG for quality of services and the effectiveness of our operations.

They are now recruiting suitably qualified, enthusiastic, and driven individuals to join their team.

Role and responsibilities

The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation and execution, control and completion of specific activities of a funded project to meet corporate compliance, work plans, monitoring and evaluation plans and budget. This position will form part of the Health Programs team and will report to the Health Programs Director. This position will be based at their Head Office in Port Moresby with occasional travel.

Job requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a management position, preferably in the project management, health management or contract management
• Experience in strategic planning, risk management and performance management
• Knowledge in project management techniques & tools
• Track record of coordinating multiple activities in collaboration with other teams
• Evidence of building strong relationships with national & provincial partners
• Experience in NGOs is an advantage
