Project Manager – Infrastructure Tax Credit Scheme (ITCS)


The Department of National Planning and Monitoring is seeking a suitable candidate for the position of Project Manager – Infrastructure Tax Credit Scheme (ITCS).

The Infrastructure Tax Credit Scheme (ITCS) is a key Program of the National Government of Papua New Guinea, delivering basic services in terms of infrastructures development throughout the country. The candidate should preferably have relevant experiences as a Project Manager in any Development projects in PNG. He/She must be matured, have sober habits, be a team player and is reliable and experienced in similar roles.

Key responsibilities

  • All aspects of project management including project planning and programming, monitoring resources requirements, costs control and contract administration in line with government’s development priorities
  • Review and vet project scope, documentation, technical designs and implementation schedules to aligned to National Development priorities as per ITCS Guideline
  • Manage the Infrastructure Tax Credit Scheme (ITCS)
  • Supervise and Manage the PMU staff

Job requirements

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Civil Engineering, Project Management or Tax Administration
  • A minimum of five years of demonstrated development project management
  • Excellent written, oral communication and analytical skills
  • Sound knowledge in the National Procurement Processes and General Project Cycle Management
