Join the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) and help to improve the lives of people in the Kavieng District.

PNG ADRA’s proposed Inclusive Community Empowerment project (ICEMP) is envisage to improve lives of people in nine key communities in Kavieng District through improved accessible to safe and equitable water, improved sanitation conditions, improved rates of functional literacy and improved coping strategies against climate change, with a special focus on women and girls. The project will also seek to involve men, boys and children as key beneficiaries of this project as well in training programs, community projects programs and leadership. The project will target 80 per cent of women in the target communities to be the direct beneficiaries of this project through direct consultations, trainings, accessibility to services and leadership roles in community programs.

Duties provincial project manager

• Manage the assigned ICEMP project in order to meet the project objectives within budget and within the allotted time frame
• Leading and coordinating project activities in the project communities provinces including planning, implementation, monitoring, documentation and reporting
• Support Project Officers (Project Officer for Adult Literacy, Project Officer for Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Reduction, Project Officer for WASH, Project Officer for Gender and Social Inclusion and M&E Officer) in development and active use of monitoring and evaluation framework including monitoring and evaluation tools, project database and reporting formats

Job requirements

Bachelor qualifications are desirable with proven track record in managing multisector projects with strong experience in project and programme management with the ability to lead a successful team. Experience in one or more of the project sector (WASH, Disaster Risk Reduction/Climate Change Adaptation, Adult Literacy, GESI) will be considered.
