Regional Sales Manager


Goodman Fielder, one of Papua New Guinea’s largest food companies seeks to hire for the role of Regional Sales Manager in Port Moresby.

Goodman Fielder needs to fill the position of a Regional Sales Manager to our already strong and energetic Sales team in Port Moresby. Goodman Fielder produces many high-quality brands in PNG, such as Flame Flour which provides strength and energy right across our country.

Job requirements

  • Ensure the regional sales targets are executed and achieved
  • Ensure the development and execution of appropriate channel strategies are in line with category and overall business direction
  • Select, lead, & manage team members and actively develop them
  • Lead & develop Goodman Fielder business in the region
  • Be responsible for Sales growth

Your responsibilities

  • Develop, communicate and implement the Sales Operations Plan
  • Lead, manage and develop a high performing Sales Team in the Region to achieve business objectives
  • Defining and agreeing to Sales targets during business planning process
  • Management and achievement of Sales
  • Work closely with the Marketing Department to ensure all plans are aligned with the Sales Operations activities
  • Development of appropriate Company Sales vision, objectives and supporting strategies in line with the business planning process (to include priorities on channels, categories, customers, range, display, distribution & promotions)
  • Allocation of all resources (including trade investment and people)
  • Reviewing trading terms agreement
  • Effective internal and external relationships, to actively represent Goodman Fielder as appropriate at Industry meetings and conferences
  • Debtor Management

To be considered for this role, you must have these attributes

  • Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in a sales and marketing managerial role
  • Business degree is preferred but Higher School Certificate is ideal
  • Proficient with MS Office and MS Excel
  • Developed communication and organisational skills
  • Consumer/category/customer awareness and knowledge
