This position is based in Port Moresby and reports to the Head of POM/Regional – Corporate Banking. The successful applicant will be responsible to manage major Corporate & Commercial clients within the Bank’s Corporate lending portfolio and develop the potential of business from each relationship thereby maximizing Bank’s profitability.

Key Deliverables

  • Develop effective plans to grow the lending and deposit volumes in order to achieve the profitability targets in accordance with the budget for the area/region.
  • Identify prospective business client in the area and develop new Corporate & Commercial portfolio at the same time ensure effective control in protecting significant deposits within portfolio of accounts.
  • Process and/or recommend approval of Corporate & Commercial lending applications which are of quality standard in line with the Lending policy.
  • Oversee and assess all credit analysis and ensure it is of high standard and meets Bank requirements in consultation with Credit Department for review and approval.

Job Requirements

Qualifications/ Skills/ Experience:

  • University Degree preferably in Accounting, Economics or Business Studies.
  • Advance Financial and Analytical skills.
  • Advance Credit & Risk management knowledge.
  • Advance Sales and Marketing skills.
  • Excellent People Management skills.
  • 5+ years’ experience in Lending environment or similar.
