Sales Manager Outstation


Responsible for increasing revenue and market penetration, SP Brewery is looking to hire for the role of Sales Manager Outstation (Madang, East Sepik, West Sepik, and Manus).

Increase sales revenue and market penetration in an assigned area Off Trade & On Trade (Madang, East Sepik, West Sepik, and Manus) by seeking out business opportunities for the Company’s product.

Responsibilities include

  • Increase sales in the area assisted by aggressive promotion and merchandising campaigns and ensuring all the outlets in the area stock the full range of the Company’s products and that their prominence is maintained through effective marketing and merchandising campaigns. Ensure EOE and PICOS Requirements are adhered to by all outlets.
  • Increase sales in the area and to ensure that business opportunities are explored and developed to further the objectives of the company
  • Increase market share of the Company’s products, through gaining new clients and retaining existing ones.
  • Plan daily call cycles to ensure visits are made frequently to meet both the Company’s and customer’s needs
  • Check on merchandising and discusses any problem areas with the customers and also provide professional advice on stock ordering, freshness, storage and rotation.
  • Expected to always look out for business opportunities to increase sales, establish good relationships with business clients and promptly respond and attend to customer problems and requests
  • Fosters good working relationships with Government officials and business clients to ensure that the interest of the company is secured
  • Project a positive image of the Company at all times both in official capacity and after hours as he would also be performing a public relations role.
  • Maintain a two way communication between the Senior Regional Sales Manager and Sales Representatives, passing back field information from areas of operation and receiving information on stock situations and sales plan, which he will use to forward plan his activities.
  • Increase sales by ensuring that the full NND range of Company products are available at all outlets. AR reports follow up.
  • Identify business opportunities and potential for Company products by implementing aggressive sales promotions and campaigns.
  • Maintain good relationship with business clients and customers through regular call cycles and responding promptly to requests.
  • Ensure that set volume targets, by product types, are sold within prescribed time limits and contribute to total area achievement.
  • Strive to exceed area sales targets by identifying and winning potential business clients in the market place.
  • Evaluate and report all changes that affect the company’s operations, such as trade and competitor activities to ensure that the company maintains awareness of the situations.
  • Ensure the company’s CBE / Draught assets are utilized effectively by having the correct equipment in each outlet to maximize sales of cold beer.


  • University degree in Marketing, Business Management or a related field is essential.
  • Diploma in Marketing/Sales, Business Management, Accounting
  • 5-6 years of experience in the sales operation environment
  • Computer literate with MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, Internet browsing skills
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Analytical – use information to identify opportunities and to support decisions
  • Solid Supervisory & Planning Skills Operational
