Gabiga Group of Companies is a 100 per cent nationally owned company, which incorporates Highlands Food Supplies, Gabiga Transportation and Gabiga Coffee. The company offers a comprehensive range of services dedicated to providing its clients with quality service to meet their business and personal needs. Its operations and businesses are located in Eastern Highlands Province and Lae, Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea.

Gabiga Group of Companies was initially established as Highlands Food Supplies Limited in 1998, the company started as a small vegetable supplier, buying from Farmers and re-selling to retailers, distributors and consumers in major centres of PNG. Over the years the company has gradually build up its capacities; purchased properties, acquired assets, established supermarkets and fast food outlets, operates two service stations and also has established several business arms such as Gabiga Coffee, Gabiga Trading and now Gabiga Transport.

With the latest investments in their facilities and products to meet their ever-growing demands, the company requires the services of a qualified and experienced Sales and Marketing Manager to effectively manage the sales and marketing of their new 100% nationally owned Product called Nice Rice.

Roles and responsibilities

The Sales & Marketing Manager of Nice Rice will report directly to the Managing Director and is responsible for but not limited to the following:

• Performs the sales and marketing function to establish and develop customer and client relationships to bring revenue into the company;
• Researches client base to find new types of customers and sells to them accordingly;
• Responsible for fixing prices and signing business deals in consultation with the Managing Director;

Job requirements

The ideal candidate must at a minimum satisfy the following criteria:

• Tertiary qualifications, degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Management or related field desired;
• At least more than 5 years’ work experience working in similar role (preferably in the retailing industry) ;
• Experience with creating a culture of engagement, collaboration and teamwork;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications;
