NAC has an opening for a Senior Building Inspector.

NAC is currently undergoing significant infrastructure and organisational review and realignment for improved compliance to safety and security standards of ICAO and CASA PNG. The organisation is committed to transforming its airports into international standards ensuing the highest levels of safety and security for users of the airport and stakeholders at large. To support this strategic initiative NAC requires suitable candidates to be part of its Technical Services Team at Port Moresby International Airport: Senior Building Inspector

This position will be based at the Green House Building, Port Moresby and will report directly to the Manager Technical Implementation. To provide comprehensive infrastructure/building, design, construction, documentation, quality assurance, maintenance, and project management advice and support to engineering and assets management department when preparing ‘Quality Inspection’ on all ‘Built Environment Facilities’ for National Airports Corporation.

Key Responsibilities

• To ensure effective management and maintenance of all ‘Built Environment Facilities’ and not limited to Project Constructions or Infrastructure Developments on all NAC controlled Airports, ensuring that quality service meets the prescribed Air Safety Regulations and Building Industrial Standards.
• Responsible for managing the inspections and implementation of building construction projects and maintenance of built environment facilities to quality standards: including working with the engineering and asset management teams to discuss and define concepts; conduct feasibility and scoping activities to prepare inspection reports;

Job requirements

• Appropriate Diploma/Bachelor in Building and Construction Management from a recognized institutions and/or equivalent qualification accepted by National Airport Corporation of PNG.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in project management, building construction, repair and maintenance works.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal skills (e.g. reports, PowerPoint presentations)
