Burnet Institute is seeking a qualified and experienced professional for the Senior Finance Officer position based in Port Moresby, NCD.

Key responsibilities

The Senior Finance Officer will be supervised by and report directly to the Team Leader and supported by the Operations & Finance Manager (Kokopo based) & Program Manager (Melbourne based).  The role will also need to work closely and effectively with Burnet Fleming Fund team and particularly the Finance Officer based in Kokopo. This role will be based in our Port Moresby Burnet Institute Office.

Requirements

• Completion of Diploma in Accounting or other relevant business qualification that includes Accounting, and/or significant Accounting experience.
• Demonstrated experience in setting up and maintaining accounting systems.
• Demonstrated experience in preparing and understanding detailed financial reports.
