Motor Vehicles Insurance Limited (MVIL) is now seeking to recruit a highly capable and experienced Senior Legal Officer to be based at MVIL Headquarters in Port Moresby.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day affairs of the Legal Department by providing leadership in the delivery of reliable, accurate, timely and well-informed advice to the Executive Management Team on legal issues and the potential legal implications.
• Manage and review legal documents / instruments, analyse legal implications, and provide reliable legal advice on Insurance Claims Litigation matters.
• Represent MVIL on a wide range of legal matters; particularly insurance claims matters in the District, National & Supreme Courts.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Degree in Law degree with certificate of admission, practicing certificate from a recognized institution & a current member of the PNG Law Society.
• Integrity and sound ethics is a must.
• Ability to multi-task, analyse with attention to detail.
