An opportunity exists in the National Agricultural Research Institute for an experienced researcher with skills in post harvest and processing.
The position reports to the Director – Agricultural Systems and will be responsible to effectively and efficiently plan, direct, manage, implement, monitor and review the Post Harvest and Processing Unit of the Institute.
The successful candidate will be required to lead applied and adaptive research and to provide recommendations on post harvest and processing information to clients, stakeholders, partners and collaborators both locally and internationally, and also facilitate and oversee the preparation of post harvest newsletters and reports for publications.
An additional role of this position will be to help develop, coordinate and implement post harvest and processing training activities.
Applicants must have a PhD in Post Harvest & Processing, Food Sciences and/or related field of study with at least ten (10) years of research experience.

Remuneration grade and salary levels will depend on qualifications, experience and the ability of the appointee. Salaries and benefits include base salary, domestic market allowance, gratuity, superannuation, leave fares, amenities allowances, medical & life insurance and housing or housing allowance.
